Become an Officer with The Sailing Club
Whether you’re an experienced sailor or new to the sport, advancing in rank in the Club is within reach. Because all of our members rely on the people who lead them as first mates and skippers, the Club’s advancement process is stringent and requires candidates to sail on several Club trips and undergo at least two evaluations. Active Club members should not find it too burdensome, but should expect each rank promotion to take at least two sailing seasons.
Individuals desiring advancement to command positions such as First Mate, Skipper, or Senior Skipper, must follow well-defined procedures. These procedures detail the specific steps and requirements to attain these positions within the club.
